The Theory of Strange Objects.

2000 contribution points.

Without a blink, he bought it.

Lin Fan carefully browsed through the text.

Strange objects from the heavens and earth were crucial for cultivators to establish their Dao foundation. They were categorized into three major types: celestial, terrestrial, and human.

Celestial strange objects conformed to the laws of heaven but were elusive and hard to find. Even hearing about them was rare, let alone seeing one. The book only mentioned one example—the founding cornerstone of the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance.

Derivative Jewel.

The specific cultivator who had this foundation object was unknown. Its unique effect allowed it to continuously generate new techniques through spontaneous derivation day and night.

...

Lin Fan paused his thoughts as he read here, stopping for a moment.

"Before, I heard Cao Hong say that the cultivation techniques used by cultivators today are newly compiled ones. I thought they were created by some prodigy who could produce such diverse techniques."

"But it turns out that these aren't artificially derived; instead, they rely on celestial strange objects," Lin Fan mused before continuing to read.

Terrestrial strange objects were also rare but had traces of their presence. They often appeared alongside extraordinary natural phenomena. The book provided a few examples:

In the Azure Valley State, there was a region with four rivers and twenty-eight mountains.

One night, everything vanished, leaving behind an unfathomable abyss.

The terrestrial strange object, Azure Valley Water Map, emerged from this event.

The continent's water systems were supposed to flow eastward into the sea.

On a certain day in a certain month, all the waters reversed direction, converging on Penglai Mountain.

This lasted for three months before stopping.

The terrestrial strange object, the Ten Thousand Waters Mother, came into existence from this event.

...

Lin Fan found these fascinating.

"So that means the Vast Sea Pearl is also a terrestrial strange object," he thought to himself.

There were still more than ten years until the Vast Sea Pearl would appear. It seemed to be near Flowing Cloud Island.

He couldn't afford to forget about it.

...

Next came human strange objects, which made up most of the foundation objects in the world.

Human strange objects were formed from cultivators who had passed away thousands of years ago and transformed over time. They were categorized into three grades: upper, middle, and lower.

The higher the quality, the more powerful a cultivator would be to achieve their Dao foundation.

Lin Fan couldn't help but recall the Qionglong Branch and Rusted Sword Dao Xuan.

He wondered what grade these two belonged to?

But from their displayed power, they were at least of middle-grade or above.

...

Just as Lin Fan's avatar was engrossed in the secrets of the cultivation world,

Li Fan, his main self, took advantage of the night to use a teleportation array and arrive at Lustrous Isle.

He didn't see He Zhenghao.

The guardian of the island was an unknown cultivator.

He Zhenghao should be exploring a cave and hadn't returned yet.

Li Fan didn't dwell on it. After nodding in greeting, he exited the array, concealed his figure, and quietly made his way to Zhang Haobo's residence, the captain of Cang Yuan.

Looking at the sleeping Zhang Haobo, Li Fan smiled slightly.

There were still 19 years until the Red Flame Scorched Sea would occur.

With his avatar already fully refined, he could lay some groundwork early on.

Cloud Water Illusory Dream Technique was activated.

...

Zhang Haobo suddenly woke up from a nightmare, drenched in cold sweat. He panted heavily as fear lingered in his heart.

After a long while, he regained his composure and looked around blankly.

Was this…

Lustrous Isle?

Could everything that happened just be a terrible nightmare?

But where could there be such a vivid dream?

In the dream, he fished at sea when he found a corpse.

Along with it was a book that had remained legible despite being soaked in seawater for a long time.

The Book of Calming the Sea Divine Sword.

It was an ancient cultivation technique from the Cloud Water Heavenly Palace that could take one through all stages to Foundation Establishment.

With twenty-four Calming the Sea Divine Swords
