"I’m only good with crafting tools; you should ask Old Liu," Fang Zaiji shrugged, appearing helpless.

Li Fan looked at his clone with a satisfied nod.
Xu Bai then bowed to Li Fan and smiled slightly.

For the past period, he had been keeping an eye on the entrance of the Immortal Longevity Valley to prevent any immortal-alliance cultivators from sneaking in. Yet, he hadn't noticed when this person entered; it seemed as if they had appeared out of thin air. Liu San's mind was filled with guesses, but he still found it hard to believe. He turned to Li Fan for confirmation.
"This isn’t the place to discuss such matters. Follow me," Li Fan said, leading Xu Bai and Fang Zaiji into a secluded meditation room.
"This is a clone I created." Xu Bai spoke directly.
"Indeed," Liu San seemed to understand but then felt some confusion arise.
"While creating clones is rare, with your abilities, obtaining one wouldn’t be too difficult. Why is this clone of yours... so..."
"Showy?" Without pressing Li Fan on the origin of his cloning technique, Fang Zaiji looked at Xu Bai and asked in a puzzled manner.
Li Fan smiled but didn't answer: "I have my reasons. By the way, how’s the magical artifact you created for me?"
Fang Zaiji quickly caught up: "The white robe and folding fan were meant for this clone? That explains why they don’t match your style!"
"Creating a magnum opus at the Dao Integration level isn’t easy; it will take at least another half year. Besides..."
Fang Zaiji stared at Xu Bai again: "My previous designs seem to fall short when worn by you, Xu Bai. I must start over."
The more he looked, the more Fang Zaiji felt that a white robe and folding fan on Xu Bai didn’t quite fit.

Liu San didn’t hesitate. After much thought, he offered a solution: "A single mind can be broken, but a collective one is hard to penetrate. The Great Dream Spring-Autumn Array in the True Medicine Cauldron of the Medicine King is still active. Any disciple who leaves should connect their spirit essence to it. If they are subjected to forced soul probing, the array will retaliate. Unless the intruder’s spiritual essence surpasses that of all sleeping Medicine King Sect cultivators combined, nothing can be learned from our disciples."

Li Fan left Immortal Longevity Valley first. The valley was located within the white mist barrier between the Luoyan and Lueying states.
Avoiding patrolling cultivators, Li Fan silently left the white mist and entered the city of Tiancheng in the Luoyan state.
Although it was inland, Luoyan wasn’t much more prosperous than Congyunhai; even fewer cultivators lived there. Much of Luoyan remained barren due to resource scarcity.
The main reason was that Luoyan experienced frequent anomalies.
