第五百九十五章 虽死逆运存

Fisher and Han Yi stood facing each other.

A violent energy suddenly descended upon them.

Fisher's expression remained calm, his figure as solid as a mountain, unshaken by the storm. Even his cloak seemed to have absorbed countless years of time, tightly adhering to his body without being affected by the external force.

On the other hand, Han Yi was enveloped in an overwhelming aura of blackevil/煞气 (malevolent influence) energy that surged and erupted from within him.

Under this mysterious energy's influence, Han Yi's face remained still at the moment Fisher had stared at him. Yet, it looked unnaturally sinister.

The childlike pupils vanished, his face cracking like shattered porcelain with cracks appearing. His entire body flickered intermittently, disappearing into swirling black mists before reappearing instantly.

In just a blink of an eye, these changes occurred within the span of a single glance. Fisher placed the fish basket back on his back and took large strides towards Cunyun Sea.

As for Han Yi...

The surging black energy quickly retreated back into his body after Fisher's departure. However, he did not return to normal. He stood silently in place, making no other movements, like a statue that had been there from the beginning.

His hollow eyes stared blankly ahead. After an indeterminate amount of time, when a common white bird flew over Han Yi's stone-like figure, something strange happened.

Without any warning, a wound on the bird’s wing that had already healed suddenly reopened. The bird lost its balance and tumbled in mid-air before crashing to the ground, never recovering until it died at Han Yi's statue's feet.

More time passed.

A group of ordinary people from a nearby town walked by, seemingly unaware of Han Yi's stone-like figure standing in the middle of the road. They ignored him completely and bumped into him without flinching.

Even more strangely, Han Yi’s stone-like figure seemed to be illusory. No collision occurred as the commoners passed through it seamlessly, their expressions unchanged.

However, not long after, one person from the group suddenly clutched his chest, turning pale. Amidst everyone's gasps, he fell to the ground and died shortly thereafter.

These people had originally planned to gather some herbs in a nearby mountain.

Now that such an incident occurred, they no longer had any desire to collect medicinal plants.

With sobs, they carried the unfortunate victim who had died of a heart attack back home.

After more time passed, a cultivator wearing a green Daoist robe flew swiftly over Han Yi's statue.

"Finally, after much effort, I have gathered all the main ingredients for this elixir. With the alchemical furnace I bought earlier..."

"This [Xuanhuang Treasure Pill] is almost guaranteed to succeed!"

He muttered excitedly as he looked forward with anticipation.

The next day, an inconspicuous anomaly appeared in Luo Yan State's sky: a cultivator had died due to a mishap during alchemy, causing the furnace to explode. The elixir was not completed and cost him his life.

Although such accidents were extremely rare in this era, they still occasionally happened.

A deceased ordinary Golden Core cultivator caused no further commotion as everyone merely sighed before going about their business.

However, some subtle changes quietly occurred in Luo Yan State without being noticed by outsiders...

---

The scene returned to Fisher. Although he did not use his wind powers, he walked swiftly across the ground with incredible speed.

With each step, he was already a mile away. His figure flashed as he continued towards Cunyun Sea.

When he reached Yuan Dao State and was just one step from his destination, a blue figure suddenly blocked his path.

"Friend, perhaps you should turn back..."

Fisher frowned as he sized up the other person. The man wore a blue Daoist robe with white hair and wrinkles covering his face, appearing old and on the brink of death.

"Have I met you before?" Fisher asked uncertainly.

The blue-robed cultivator coughed several times and replied in an aged voice: "You are indeed getting worse at remembering."

"You could still recall me during our last meeting. Now, do you even remember who I am?"

"I'll think about it... It was only two hundred years ago."

Fisher lowered his head in silence for a moment, seemingly pondering the old man's words.

After a short while, he shook his head: "I can't recall now."

"But that doesn't matter..."

"Since you're going to die anyway."

---

Fisher continued talking to himself. The blue-robed old man was taken aback.

"Yes, I'm about to die..." the old man said with a touch of sadness in his voice.

"Do you still want to stop me?" Fisher asked.

"It's my duty," the blue-robed cultivator replied without hesitation.

Fisher nodded and extended his right hand forward.

Instantly, intersecting black lines appeared around the blue-robed old man like a giant net, surrounding him from all sides.

The old man grunted as he vanished in an instant, leaving behind only a glowing blue feather in Fisher's shrinking net.

In the next moment, the net disappeared and returned to Fisher's hand.

Looking at the blue feather in his hand, Fisher's eyebrows raised slightly, showing some surprise. He shook his head slightly but did not dwell on it for long before placing the blue-robed cultivator’s statue back into his fish basket and continuing towards Cunyun Sea.

Not long after Fisher left,

A faint figure reappeared among them.

"Let floods rage."

"Hmph!"

He gave Fisher's back a deep look before vanishing from sight.

In Qing Yun State, two states away from Luo Yan State, Li Fan immediately knew something was wrong when his surveillanceperspective disappeared. He reacted quickly and took out a statue of the Heavenly Venerable that could protect him from fatal blows to hissea of knowledge/cognitive sea.

This one did not have the five-faced ten-handed form that could contact the Fivepivot/joint Academy but represented theworry-free Heavenly Venerable with a sad expression.

The statue's only function was to protect hissea of knowledge/cognitive sea when it faced a mortal blow, preventing its collapse. Its effect was quite significant.

Li Fan felt as if he had been struck hard on the head, and his mind echoed loudly. The scene before him blurred into countless images that kept moving.

He spat out blood instinctively while clutching his head tightly. Even hisbody protection energy recharge progress for the True Reality technique dropped by 5%.

Fortunately, it was only a minor injury, and he did not face any mortal danger.

The Five Elements force in his internal dao field circulated rapidly as Li Fan recovered his vitality within an instant.
