第四百一十七章 千载终还真

In the year 468, a piece of news shook the realm of Xuanhuang.

The White Mist Wall, which served as the boundary between various states, inexplicably began to expand outward.

The Celestial Alliance dispatched Celestial Artificers to investigate this matter.

By the year 469, the expansion of the White Mist Wall had come to a halt. However, the Celestial Artificers failed to uncover any significant findings.

In the year 490, a group of cultivators emerged from the mist. They wore the attire of the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance from that era, yet they were still able to move about freely despite being dead and unaware of their own demise.

Due to the lack of knowledge regarding the Celestial Alliance's establishment, when the Celestial Artificers arrived to secure the scene, these deceased Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance cultivators engaged in fierce conflict with them.

Ultimately, a team of six-grade Artificers, capable of opposing forces at the Dao-Integration realm, had to forcibly take them away.

In 524, Han Wuyou broke through to the Transcendence Realm.

In 539, the golden obelisk in Xuanhuang erupted for the third time. The earth still trembled, but not as intensely as before.

In 580, Han Wuyou received a secret invitation, summoning him to a hidden location within Tianyu State.

Wary of the summons, Han Wuyou did not choose to go.

By 592, Han Wuyou learned that in Jiongzhou, the Celestial Xuan Locking Array had failed for about an hour.

The Celestial Alliance issued another [Heavenly Decree] to hunt down and capture the cultivator known as Liu Yihang.

In 595, Han Wuyou received yet another invitation. Along with it was a small circular stone disk.

According to the letter, this original disk was called [Eternal Stone], which could shield one from the Celestial Xuan Locking Array's perception when activated.

After much consideration, Han Wuyou decided to attend the meeting.

The gathering took place in a hidden valley within Tianyun State.

A cultivator introduced himself to Han Wuyou. They called themselves the [Heaven Covering Society], one of the resistance organizations that had fought against the Celestial Alliance during the Great Battle of Cultivators.

Since their defeat, they had been hiding underground, waiting for an opportunity to strike back. Over centuries, they had secretly absorbed suitable candidates.

Among them were Gu Xinghan, who wrote The Manifesto to Cultivators; Lan Yu Chang, who risked his life to reveal the existence of the Eternal Immortal Wall; and Liu Yihang, who recently caused the Locking Array's failure. All were members of the Heaven Covering Society.

The society gathered the most elite forces among the remaining cultivators in the world. Although their numbers were few, they produced many prodigies over time. They had also developed various methods to counter the Celestial Xuan Locking Array.

[Eternal Stone] was one such result. It was created from a secondary body of the Celestial Xuan Mirror called [Eternal Annihilation Disk]. Over years of research, the Heaven Covering Society discovered potential blind spots in the Locking Array—secondary bodies of the Celestial Xuan Mirror.

These secondary bodies retained some characteristics of the original mirror to varying degrees. This caused the Locking Array to misjudge them as part of itself, thus neglecting their surveillance.

The Celestial Xuan Mirror's secondary bodies were rare, and the Heaven Covering Society had to sacrifice many cultivators to find one [Eternal Annihilation Disk].

In addition to [Eternal Stone], the Heaven Covering Society possessed a powerful weapon called [Heaven Overturning Arrow]. Liu Yihang's ability to temporarily disable the Locking Array was due to this arrow.

The materials for its creation came from various anomalies in Xuanhuang, which affected the world like viruses. These anomalies could influence the Locking Array as well.

After learning about the Heaven Covering Society's affairs, Han Wuyou raised a concern: why such detailed explanations of their secrets during their first meeting? Wasn't he afraid that he might report this to the Celestial Alliance?

The other party smiled and introduced him to someone. It was none other than Lu Chang from the Revival Immortals, the Medicine King Sect.

It turned out that after the Great Peril, survivors of the Revival Immortals scattered. In subsequent manhunts, Lu Chang managed to evade capture by using the True Cauldron of the Medicine King and went into hiding in the wilderness before eventually joining the Heaven Covering Society.

With the protection of the True Cauldron and its resources, the Heaven Covering Society had been able to grow despite the Celestial Alliance's blockade. Over three hundred years later, some disciples from the Medicine King Sect were awakened by him, such as Liu Yihang, who was once the adopted son of Medicine King Liu Ruchen.

The reunion brought back memories of the tragic deaths of his companions when they left the world. With red-rimmed eyes, Han Wuyou formally joined the Heaven Covering Society.

After a brief stay at the base for half a day, he returned to the Celestial Alliance.

In 603, the golden obelisk began its fourth eruption, lasting longer than the combined duration of the previous three eruptions.

Above the heavens, green lines crisscrossed like a giant net, enveloping all beings in Xuanhuang. From then on, cultivators referred to the Locking Array centered around the Celestial Xuan Mirror as [Xuan Net].

In 610, Han Wuyou received news from the Heaven Covering Society that they had manufactured three thousand [Heaven Overturning Arrows]. However, with the outer array protecting the core of the Xuan Net, such a number might not be enough to damage it. They would need more patience.

Han Wuyou pondered this for a moment.

In 690, Han Wuyou gained an understanding of many array diagrams from the shattered circular disk.

In 710, he secretly met with Lu Chang and Liu Yihang, showing them the array diagrams.

In 711, Han Wuyou received word from the Heaven Covering Society that these were indeed the original array structures of the Xuan Net. He was excited to ask where they came from.

Han Wuyou stared at the shattered circular disk in a secret chamber for a long time before remaining silent. Then he sealed it with a secret technique...

In 934, a vagrant found the shattered circular disk amidst ruins and thought it was some treasure. Overjoyed, he carried it around day and night.

Soon, the sky turned gray instead of green.

In 935, survivors on Earth began to tell tales from a hundred years ago. The earth trembled as cracks appeared in the sky. Above the heavens, the figures of gods fought each other. Devastating lightning strikes continued to fall, turning vast areas into nothingness. After much time, a pair of giant hands tore through the sky.

The dust settled, and peace returned. However, the gods' conflict angered the Great Father God. The world was abandoned. Luxurious buildings turned into ruins. Even the high-flying gods vanished. The world was on its way to decay.

In 936, during a hunt, the vagrant died. The shattered circular disk lay quietly in the wilderness, occasionally visited by curious beasts.

By 1032, no more beasts appeared.

By 1573, the sky was dark, and the earth silent.

By 2078, the world was dead.

In 3024, long-awaited sunlight illuminated the shattered circular disk.

In 3036, the True Power activated.

Thank you to the Silver Patron, Orange Chenchen. I just realized there's an update because of some issues with viewing this chapter recently. I'm so grateful! There will be more updates, but due to recent writing challenges and my part-time job, it might take a while. I still have many chapters left to write. Thank you for your support!
