第1458章 大空洞圈定

These facilities, though abandoned, still functioned. Thus, the demarcation of the Great Void? Based on his observations and deductions, Li Fan analyzed this in his mind.

Although he could only observe due to the unique nature of the Dao Network Projection, he had no control over anything here—neither the segmented star fields depicted on the circular wall nor the various objects that appeared within the cylindrical hall.

He couldn't use any of them. The reason for demarcating those star fields into the Great Void remained unclear, but knowing that the Dark Star Sea was located within it made Li Fan's heart tremble with fear.

Li Fan tried to piece together the clues he had and reconstruct the secrets hidden behind this experimental space.

"The Great Void Disaster might be connected to the Infinite Sea," he thought. "After I used an incomplete Ascension Platform to connect to the Infinite Sea, I found that as I utilized the infinite power within it, countless water droplets in the Infinite Sea would pour down through some unknown channels, submerging all of creation. The feeling was so real that even my emotionless puppet didn't dare press the button."

"However, there are countless true immortals in this world, along with their immortal tools and servants. They don't need to worry as much when using infinite immortal spirit power," Li Fan mused. "The emergence of immortal spirit power from the Disintegration Disc proves that point." He released a divine force from his Immortal List Disintegration Disc.

Li Fan encircled his fingertips with a faint white light, feeling its boundless nature and imagining the vastness of the Infinite Sea.

"Earthly realms can't possibly have another Infinite Sea," he thought. "And while the true immortal realm was initially not too fearful of the Great Void Disaster, it's like how mortals fear floods, and true immortals guard against them."

"A reasonable guess is that in the past, the true immortal realm fully understood the consequences of using the power from the Infinite Sea to trigger the Great Void Disaster. But the allure of infinity made it impossible for true immortals to give up on utilizing the Infinite Sea," Li Fan continued.

"Even so, they constructed things like dams and reservoirs on the Infinite Sea, ensuring that true immortals didn't directly connect with it but instead used the structures created by the true immortal realm. This way, they could avoid the catastrophic disaster of the Great Void pouring down into the world."

"But..."

"The Infinite Sea is an unimaginably vast and sacred place. Even nameless true immortals can't compare to a wave in it," Li Fan thought.

"Even so, the civilization of the true immortal realm had developed enough to somewhat limit the Infinite Sea. However..."

Li Fan recalled the terrifying waves that came from deep beneath the Infinite Sea when Zhenhuan stood there.

"Those who play with fire will surely be burned by it."

"There's no eternal dam, and once a crack appears, it's hard to seal it again. Plus, countless true immortals, either accidentally or deliberately, want to bypass the restrictions set by the true immortal realm and directly connect with the Infinite Sea," Li Fan thought.

"Each time they do, another crack is created between reality and the Infinite Sea."

"The Great Void Disaster will inevitably become more severe over time."

Li Fan's thoughts raced as he continued his analysis.

"The signs of calamity appeared, and one star system after another in the true immortal realm was destroyed."

"Zhenhuan. This treasure that can reverse fate is likely also from the Infinite Sea. Although the true immortal realm may not know its exact effects, they suspect it could solve this world-destroying crisis. Thus, they searched everywhere for it, even including lower realms," Li Fan thought.

"They calculated when Zhenhuan might appear and should have appeared... in the Yellow Emperor's World."

"Should he have been discovered by true immortal forces at the start, Zhenhuan might have saved the world from the Great Void Disaster. But because of some unknown reason, his appearance was delayed," Li Fan continued.

"The true immortal realm didn't receive this savior."

"While overall stability still exists, there are those with different ideas. As I saw in that true immortal's memory, great figures had their own thoughts, and ants had their ways to survive."

"True immortals sought their paths. Some turned mortals into true immortals, while others used nameless bones or celestial pillars to build a savior ship," Li Fan thought.

"But no one expected the Great Void Disaster to erupt prematurely, with such force that it far exceeded previous instances. It seemed as if all connections between the Infinite Sea and this world had been blown open in an instant."

"Before they could react, true immortals, nameless true immortals, and even the current rulers of the true immortal realm died like ants..."

Li Fan's mind flashed with images of the Infinite Sea pouring down to destroy the true immortal realm.

"Even though many nameless true immortals were willing or forced to sacrifice themselves to block the Great Void Disaster, how long could they hold it back?"

"The Infinite Sea swallowing reality is a trend. Unless new barriers can be built in this brief safe period, the disaster will continue," Li Fan thought as he looked at Zhenhuan's end-of-the-world countdown.

"The Infinite Sea spans all possibilities."

"The Great Void Disaster isn't just limited to my initial possibility."

"Perhaps they discovered and utilized the Infinite Sea, facing the same fate. Or perhaps the nameless true immortals in the original possibility fled to other possibilities after the disaster," Li Fan continued.

"Even if they jumped into different possibilities, as long as they didn't abandon their connection with the Infinite Sea, it would persist."

"The Great Void Disaster followed them relentlessly, swallowing all of creation..."

Li Fan's analytical abilities, rivaling those of the Dao Stone Mother, felt a headache coming on. While dealing with individual possibilities was manageable, integrating multiple clues and deriving countless possible answers made his task much harder.

He had little information about other possibilities and each additional layer of possibility doubled the number of variables involved. Even if thousands of Dao Stone Mothers combined their efforts, it would be insufficient.

"However, the Great Void Disaster has been raging for over seven million years. The remaining possibilities in this world can't possibly be infinite."

"Perhaps calling them a lingering existence is more accurate," Li Fan thought as his mind raced to its limits and he was forced to stop his analysis.

He shifted his attention from the true immortal realm and the Great Void Disaster, back to the eerie experimental space.

"The original purpose of this place should have been to wait for Zhenhuan."

"However, because Zhenhuan didn't arrive as expected, it was abandoned by the true immortal realm. But only on the surface," Li Fan thought.

"Some minor figures in the true immortal realm may not have given up and left here. However, their goals might not be Zhenhuan."

"They just wanted to find a chance to survive before the impending Great Void Disaster," Li Fan continued.

"The ability to create the demarcation for the Great Void definitely involved nameless true immortals," he thought.

"Why did they all suddenly disappear?"

"Based on traces left behind, there were certainly many true immortals gathered here."

Li Fan probed further into this experimental space, trying to uncover more secrets. His gaze swept over everything until it landed on a peculiar statue that had appeared in the cylindrical hall.

It was an oddly shaped terracotta figure, standing silently as if hidden among the shadows, barely noticed by Li Fan.

If not for its unique style resembling something he had encountered before, Li Fan might have overlooked it.
