第1441章 初次猎真仙

True power was revealed in the face of death, and now, the test had taken a cruel turn. The previous trials seemed nothing compared to this final ordeal.

"Third trial..." "Live!"

A cold voice echoed through the air as the network that had been acting as a backdrop suddenly descended upon them like a shroud from the heavens. Many died instantly, their souls extinguished in an instant.

The network, which was supposed to protect them, now became a weapon of mass destruction. The survivors were left with no choice but to fight for survival using only their own abilities.

But the majority of participants, lacking the power and skill provided by the network, perished quickly under this overwhelming disaster. Only a few managed to survive in the face of such a calamity.

Evan, relying on his Lightformevasion technique, was able to navigate through the crisis with relative ease. However, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as he watched the remaining participants engage in a mock battle.

The final trial seemed more like a ranking system rather than an actual fight for survival. The first-place candidate, named Dao Yuan, had shown exceptional skill during the previous trials and was now leading the pack.

Evan realized that only those who could survive this ordeal would be considered true stars of the Star Sea. He understood that the real test lay in how one handled such a situation—whether they could stay calm and focused despite the overwhelming pressure.

"Last trial, fight!" the voice echoed once more, but now with a hint of warmth.

Evan knew that he had passed the final test. The ranking was based on his performance across all four trials. He found himself in 5th place, having boosted his score during the second trial by successfully capturing the True Immortal.

The first-place candidate, Dao Yuan, stood confidently among the survivors. His long and lean figure commanded attention as he greeted everyone with a smile.

Recalling the information he had gathered earlier, Evan recognized that Dao Yuan was from the Ten Thousand Dao Sect in the Star Sea. The sect's name alone spoke of its power and influence. Despite being one of the last remaining forces after the collapse of other star seas, they managed to establish themselves through their contributions to the network.

"Since you have joined the 'Immortal Hunt,' you must now follow orders," a stern voice declared. "Those who disobey will be punished without mercy."

The next task was about to begin. A light screen descended above the circular platform, listing the names of all participants in order from first to twenty-eighth.

Evan looked at the list and saw that he had placed fifth overall. He recalled that it was during the second trial when he successfully captured the True Immortal that he earned his high ranking.

A figure stepped out from among the crowd of spectators, a man dressed in blood-red armor with a black stone pillar on his shoulder. His presence seemed ominous as he addressed the group.

"May your first hunt be successful!" the man snarled, patting the stone pillar on his shoulder.

The participants were left to face their new reality—surviving and hunting True Immortals for the greater good of the Star Sea. The trials had prepared them well, but now they would have to prove themselves in the real world.
